Reflection
Memories are like the game telephone. The more we revisit them, the more distorted they become. Upon reflection as an adult, I’ve realized my memories from childhood are significantly altered and not as perfect as they once seemed. In my body of work Reflection, I use photography to re-examine these memories in different ways. My photography employs self-portraiture and interaction with childhood objects and family photos. I capture my hands with the objects as if reaching for the past. The scale of my hands holding the toys blurs the line between child and adult.
